Website terms of use
These terms govern your use of the cryptoiban.com website. They do not govern your account: opening and running an account are governed by the account contract, which is provided to you before any account is opened.
Last updated: 10 October 2026
Purpose
These terms set the rules for accessing and using the cryptoiban.com website, in its English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish versions. By browsing the website, you accept them.
They are not the account contract. If you open an account, that contract and the terms of our regulated partners, provided before opening, govern your account, your conversions and your transfers. Where they differ, those documents prevail for everything relating to the account.
Who publishes the website
The website is published by the company operating the CryptoIBAN brand, whose full legal identity (company name, registration number, registered office) is set out in the contractual documents provided before any account is opened.
CryptoIBAN is a brand and is not a bank. Crypto-asset services are provided by a provider authorised under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 (MiCA); the IBAN account and SEPA transfers, by a licensed e-money institution. Their names and licence numbers are set out in the contract provided before opening. See also our legal notice.
Access to the website
Access to the website is open and requires no registration. We may suspend or restrict it, in particular for maintenance, for security reasons or in case of misuse. The availability of our services is shown on the service status page.
The website is intended for adults. Its content is neither an offer nor a solicitation in any country where they would be prohibited. Our services are not offered to US persons or to residents of North Korea, Iran, Myanmar, Syria, Cuba, Russia and Belarus.
General information, not advice
The content of the website (pages, guides, articles, FAQs) is general information. It is not investment, legal or tax advice and does not take your personal situation into account.
We take care to keep regulatory and tax information accurate, but rules change: before an important decision, check the official source cited or ask an adviser. Crypto-assets carry risks: read our risk warning.
Simulator and displayed rates
The simulator and the rates displayed on the website are indicative. The indicative rate is the public rate of a major exchange, Kraken, and may change at any time. Neither the simulator nor the rates are an offer, a quote or a commitment.
If you open an account, the firm price of each conversion is presented to you before you confirm it, as the MiCA regulation requires (art. 77): that price, and only that price, applies. Blockchain network fees are paid to the blockchain when you send, not to CryptoIBAN.
Opening an account, with no commitment
You open your account online from the account opening page. Creating your login and completing your application commit you to nothing and do not oblige us to open an account for you; you can delete your login at any time from your client area.
Enter your first and last name, then make an initial deposit of at least $500. Your IBAN is usable after payment confirmation. You accept the applicable terms when creating and activating your account. If no account is opened, your application is deleted 12 months after your last activity.
Intellectual property
The CryptoIBAN name, the arch logo and the mascot, as well as the texts, illustrations, interface mock-ups and visuals of the website, are protected. Any reproduction or reuse without prior written permission is prohibited, except where the law allows it, such as a short quotation with the source acknowledged.
Press kit materials may illustrate a story about CryptoIBAN, under the conditions set out on the press page.
Fair use of the website
You agree to use the website in good faith. In particular, the following are prohibited:
- False requests, or requests made in another person’s name.
- Any attempt to bypass the website’s protections, disrupt its operation or access data not intended for you.
- Automated, large-scale extraction of the content, or repeated requests that overload the website.
- Using the CryptoIBAN name, logo or visuals to impersonate us, in particular in a phishing message.
Fraudulent messages
We will never ask for your recovery phrase, your passwords or your codes, by email or by any other means. If you receive a suspicious message claiming to come from CryptoIBAN, do not reply and report it to us through the contact page.
Links
The website links to official sources (EUR-Lex, ESMA, national authorities…) so that you can check our information. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content.
You may link to cryptoiban.com, provided you do not suggest a partnership, endorsement or affiliation that does not exist.
Liability
We take care to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date, but cannot rule out every error or omission. The website may be temporarily unavailable, in particular during maintenance.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage arising from the use of the website, or for decisions taken solely on the basis of its general information. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your rights as a consumer.
Personal data and cookies
The website uses no advertising cookies or trackers, and no IP address is stored on it in clear. What we collect, why, for how long and how to exercise your rights is explained in our privacy policy and on our cookies page.
Changes
We may change these terms, in particular to reflect changes to the website or to regulation. The applicable version is the one published on this page when you visit; the date of its last update appears at the top of the page.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law indicated in the operator’s legal notice, and any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the courts designated there, without prejudice to the mandatory rules that protect you as a consumer in your country of residence.
Before taking any step, write to us: many difficulties are resolved simply by talking. Our complaints procedure sets out the steps, the time limits and the remedies available.
Contact
For any question about these terms, write to us through the contact page. A person replies within 24 business hours, in English or French.
