Rent, every month
Pay rent with crypto: your landlord receives euros.
Your crypto becomes euros on a Belgian IBAN in your own name, and your rent goes out by SEPA transfer, scheduled once. Your landlord has nothing to change.

The idea
Your landlord expects euros. That is what arrives.
Paying rent with crypto asks nothing of your landlord. They expect a transfer in euros, on the right date, with a clear reference, and that is exactly what they get. The conversion happens on your side, in an account in your own name.
You deposit crypto (USDT, BTC, ETH and SOL) from a wallet you own, convert it at the price shown, and the transfer goes to your landlord’s IBAN.
With rent, reliability matters most. You schedule the transfer once and keep a receipt for every payment in your tenancy records.
Setting it up
Pay rent with crypto, step by step
You open the account and schedule your rent once. After that, all that matters is having the euros in the account on the due date.
-
Open your account
After payment confirmation
Enter your first and last name, then make an initial deposit of at least $500. Your IBAN is usable once the payment is confirmed.
-
Add your landlord
Once
Enter their name and IBAN exactly as they appear on your lease. The payee name is checked before sending.
-
Convert ahead of the due date
Price shown upfront
Deposit your crypto on the network shown and convert the rent amount. The firm price appears before you confirm.
-
Schedule the transfer
By next business day
Amount, day of the month and reference (“Rent · Apt 4B”): the transfer goes out every month and arrives by the next business day at the latest.
Why it works
What changes for you, not for your landlord
-
Your name on the transfer
The transfer comes from an IBAN in your name: your landlord sees their tenant, not a crypto platform or a pooled account.
-
One transfer, every month
Rent goes out every month on the day you choose, including when you are travelling.
-
Proof for every month
Every transfer has its own PDF receipt, ready to forward to your landlord, a letting agent or a guarantor.
-
A home in 41 countries
Lisbon, Brussels or Madrid: any landlord with an IBAN in the SEPA area can be paid.
-
1% all-in
One fee on the conversion, with no hidden spread. The SEPA transfer costs €0.
-
Safeguarded euros
Until rent day, your euros are e-money safeguarded by an authorised institution. They are not deposits.
Worked example
What does a €1,450 rent cost when paid with crypto?
The calculation starts from the amount your landlord must receive. The only extra is the network fee on your deposit, paid to the blockchain, not to CryptoIBAN.
For a monthly rent of €1,450, the total cost is €14.65. Your payee receives exactly €1,450.
- Your payee receives
- €1,450.00
- Conversion fee (1%)
- €14.65
- SEPA transfer
- €0
- Amount converted from your crypto
- €1,464.65
Calculated with the current pricing. The firm price is shown before every conversion.
On your landlord’s side
What your landlord sees
A SEPA transfer in euros, like the ones they already receive. You are the sender: your name, a Belgian IBAN and the reference you entered.
Before sending, the payee name is checked. If the name you entered does not match the IBAN holder, you find out before the money leaves, not after.
Your landlord or their agent wants proof? Forward them the PDF receipt of the transfer.

Convert early, keep a buffer
The price of a crypto-asset can fall between your deposit and its conversion, sometimes sharply. For rent, convert a few days before the due date, not the day before. Keep a euro buffer in the account too, so the scheduled transfer goes out on time. Even USDT moves against the euro: it follows the euro-dollar rate.
FAQ
Your questions about paying rent with crypto
Does my landlord need to accept crypto?
No. They receive a SEPA transfer in euros, as usual. The conversion happens in your account before sending: they have no wallet to set up and nothing to do.
Will my landlord know I pay with crypto?
They see what any SEPA transfer shows: your name, a Belgian IBAN, the amount and your reference. Nothing is hidden: it is a verified account in your name, which you can talk about openly.
Can my landlord refuse a Belgian IBAN?
Not because of its country, within the EU: article 9 of Regulation 260/2012 forbids imposing the country of an IBAN. Refusals still happen. Our guide to IBAN discrimination offers a template letter and the steps you can take.
When does the rent reach my landlord?
By the next business day after sending at the latest, as the Payment Services Directive provides (art. 83). If your lease sets a deadline, schedule the transfer one or two business days before it.
Can I pay the security deposit or agency fees?
Yes, with a one-off transfer to the IBAN provided, using the reference requested. Each transfer must be at least €10.
How much does paying rent cost?
1% all-in on the conversion, with no hidden spread, and €0 per SEPA transfer. The account itself has no subscription and costs €0 to open.
