The essentials

What every SEPA transfer includes

Your payees receive euros through the usual SEPA rails. You stay in control of the date, the reference and the proof.

  • 41 SEPA countries

Any IBAN in the 41 countries of the SEPA schemes: an individual, a company or a public body.

  • Next business day at the latest

Credited by the next business day at the latest, as the Payment Services Directive requires (art. 83).

  • €0 per transfer

The transfer costs €0. You pay 1% all-in on the conversion, shown before you confirm.

  • Name checked

The payee’s name is checked before sending: a mistake shows up before the money leaves.

  • Scheduled transfers

Set up a monthly payment once: it then goes out on the date you choose.

  • PDF receipts

A receipt for every transfer and a monthly statement, to forward to whoever needs them.

The payee’s side

What your payee sees

A SEPA transfer in euros, like the ones they receive from anyone. Example for a rent payment:

Information Example Where it comes from
Sender Alex Martin Your name as account holder
Sending account BE IBAN Your BE IBAN, opened in your name
Amount €1,450.00 The amount you entered, in euros
Reference Rent October · Apt 4B The text you enter
Arrival By the next business day Depending on the day you send it

As with any SEPA transfer, the payee sees the account holder’s name and the sending IBAN. Conversion fees stay on your side: they are not deducted from the amount sent.

Scheduled transfers

Set it up once, pay every month

Rent, childcare, your accountant: some payments come back every month for the same amount. Set them up once, with the payee, the amount, the reference and the day of the month.

Since a SEPA transfer can take until the next business day to arrive, schedule rent due on the 1st a few days earlier, especially when the 1st falls on a Monday or after a public holiday.

And convert enough crypto before the scheduled date so that your euro balance covers the transfer.

  • Payee, amount, reference and day saved
  • A PDF receipt for each payment
  • Example: €1,450 on the 28th, for rent due on the 1st

Step by step

How a SEPA transfer goes out from your crypto

  1. Convert

    Rate shown upfront

Deposit your crypto, then confirm the conversion at the quoted rate: your euros land in your account.

  2. Add the payee

Name, IBAN and reference: invoice, contract or tax notice number. Or pick a saved payee.

  3. Check and confirm

The payee name check appears before sending. Review its result, the amount (minimum €10) and the reference, then confirm.

  4. The transfer arrives

    By next business day

It is credited by the next business day at the latest; the PDF receipt is ready in your account.

A sent transfer can’t be undone with a click

Once executed, a SEPA transfer cannot be cancelled from your side. If the IBAN or the amount was wrong, contact us right away: we can request a recall of the funds, but the outcome depends on the payee and is not assured. That is why it pays to read the name-check result before you confirm.

FAQ

Timing, amounts, name checks: your questions

How long do SEPA transfers take to arrive?

By the next business day after sending, at the latest: that is the rule set by the Payment Services Directive (art. 83). Weekends and public holidays don’t count, so a transfer sent on a Friday may only arrive on Monday. For a fixed due date, allow a few days.

Do you offer SEPA Instant transfers?

Not at this stage. Your transfers go out as standard SEPA transfers and are credited by the next business day at the latest: plan your due dates accordingly, or schedule recurring payments.

Is there a minimum amount or a limit?

Each transfer must be at least €10. Your limits depend on your profile and the checks completed; they are shown in your account before you send. For a large or unusual amount, you may be asked for proof of the source of funds.

Can I pay someone outside the euro area?

Yes, if they are in one of the 41 countries of the SEPA schemes, which go beyond the euro area. The transfer is always sent in euros: check that your payee can receive euros on that account.

What happens if the payee’s name doesn’t match?

You are told before sending. The check can return “match”, “close match” with the suggested name, “no match” or “check not possible”. You can still choose to send, but if in doubt, confirm the details with the payee.

How do I prove I paid?

Every transfer you send has a PDF receipt showing the payee, the amount, the date and the reference. Download it from your account and forward it to your landlord, your accountant or a public body.
